Thanks Kate

Thanks Kate, you were so helpful and patient with our options choices . We spent almost 3 hours we didnt feel any weariness or fatigue from your side. Your smile and understanding were continued.
Thanks Kate

First time buyers

Being first time buyers we were really unsure and just looking for advice, but Linda from the Attleborough office was ever so helpful and explained & answered each and every question we had as well as being supportive throughout!

James as been amazing..

James as been amazing... very through throughout my journey.. only thing i feel let down by is the touchpoint app... really not feeling it any beneficial on the option side at the moment.

Very helpful throughout the process

Sales representative in West Heath Newcastle was very helpful. Very knowledgeable and always on hands to tackle any issues I have regarding the new house.

Too many items to list including mould…

Too many items to list including mould on walls which was supposedly clean 48hrs before. Bad sales experience, bad first snagging and bad customer service throughout. Took 8 months to finish first initial snag list!

The sales executive gave a fully…

The sales executive gave a fully informative appointment. She give us opertunity to ask questions and didnt rush us and listened carefully to all our questions. Gave us a thorough and comprehensive idea of the timetable and who will be in contact with us and when.

Outstanding Service

I recently went through the process of having a deed of variation produced for my leasehold garage ahead of a house sale. This was the final part of the process and I had endured a particularly difficult sale/ purchase involving a number of “professionals” who quite frankly were a stain on their profession.

Taylor Wimpey however were outstanding. Michael and Mandy dealt with our particular case and they were brilliant. Regular contact, explanations and support. Without their input I dare say I would still be living in my old house.

Quality Uncontrolled

A very nice man came last week and adjusted the front door. It now works perfectly. Is there some logical reason why it wasnt properly adjusted when it was fitted? Maybe the multi point checks that are carried out missed that the front door was nearly impossible to open or close.
The contractor still, after 5 weeks, has not contacted me to deal with the problems with the pointing, maybe that was not part of the multi point check either.
Today we started to fit out the study. When the floor was vacuumed the carpet lifted so cannot finish the job until the fault is fixed.
What is a little scary is that these problems, along with many more now fixed, are easy to spot but what about the short cuts that are not so easily visible. The NHBC warranty only covers jobs that will cost more than £1800, now that is scary.

First Time Buyers

We began our journey last November when reserving our property at Colliers Court. Michelle has been extremely helpful throughout our journey and we couldnt be happier now after moving in. We were able to view the property through the build process as often as we liked which really added that personal touch. Michelle and the team at Taylor Wimpey have been fantastic, very quick to respond and answer questions and queries throughout the process. (Because being a first time buyer we had a fare few!)

I hope others experience the service we have had so far as we couldnt recommend the team at our site more. Thank you!

Misleading building company - avoid

Upon agreeing price of discount to market property we was then told that they have changed the amount of discount so we had then to apply for a higher mortgage which added stress and time onto the purchase. Once in the property promises that snagging things would be fixed and put right as soon as possible did not happen. Complained to customer service, nothing happened. Before buying told that the garden would be level with layer of top soil ready for lawn to be laid etc. Found garden to be full of waist high weeds, large rocks, bricks, cement. Told it was virgin ground put back. I said i dont know how concrete and bricks get into virgin ground from a field. Still waiting for my formal complaint to be resolved after over 2 months. Was told by a contractor on site he would sort the garden for £100 cash, what a cowboy firm. Have all texts, emails etc to prove these details are true. We was left with a electric socket hanging off interior wall for a month before they got the electrician to fix it. They have ruined our new home buying experience, and we have yet to actually enjoy the property. If i could put minus stars i would.

Dont buy Taylor Wimpey

Update on the poor build quality of my house!

Customer Service visit 24.08.21
confirmed all outstanding issues, some of which ongoing since we moved in Dec 2018. Waiting for plan of action to resolve issues

Joint visit with customer services and NHBC following my contact with NHBC in relation to ongoing issues with creaking floors initially reported March 2019. NHBC have been aware of our creaking floors for 2 years.

For anyone who is interested we are in a Drummond home and the initial issue with creaking floors started in the main bedroom outside ensuit! I am aware of other people in Drummonds who have the same issue!

Work carried out so far:
.Patch in main bedroom screwed down

.Metal removed from wall at ensuite, more screws added to floor

.Shower tray in ensuite removed and refitted, and more screws

.Other areas now creaking and screwed down, more screws in main bedroom

.more work carried out to the partician wall at ensuite

.Full downstairs ceilings screwed up, this resulted in excessive creaking, cracking and popping noises heard throughout downstairs!

.ceiling removed downstairs to investigate issues, no issues identifying, ceiling refitted, spot lights refitted out of line and now requires spot lights to be moved! But no change to creaking floors. Patch of floor outside ensuit glued down, more work to partician wall. The wall was left unsecured and moving away from the floor. A further visit rectified this movement but no change to noise!

.following NHBC visit yesterday agreed that 1 bedroom floor will be lifted to investigate from upstairs in the hope this will highlight the issue, which if a fixed is established will be replicated throughout the other rooms! Advised this will likely be November before this can be booked in!

I will be back to update this once above work has been arranged. Although given the numerous unsuccessful attempts to fix this I have no confidence in Taylor Wimpey abilities to resolve the issues we have with excessively noisy and creaking floors!

Appalling company

Appalling company. They built our apartments which now turn out to have cladding issues and even worse non installation of fire safety products behind the cladding so another possible Grenfell; they agreed to do the work back in march this year but here we are in nearly September an nothing done

All the meetings and viewings were…

All the meetings and viewings were positive. The sales person was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions as well as explaining things clearly.
I was able to view the plot following safety guidelines which was very helpful.
There was plenty of time at each appointment.

If I could give them less than one star…

If I could give them less than one star I would. The only way they have a 3.9 star rating is by inviting customers who dont live in their homes yet to review them. They then have bad reviews removed. Once you pay your money their customer service is appalling they drag out all your repairs so that the 2 year warranty isnt valid anymore. Hundreds of defects damp not fit for purpose ventilation system. Floors cut up and glued on numerous occasions plaster removed all glass replaced. Non of the vents in roof were attached condensation ran back into house blew all the electrics. Rusty bath took 5 years to get it replaced then left for 3 weeks unable to use bathroom. And many many more defects the damp is still ongoing but apparently they ve spent enough trying to fix it and so here we are. 50% increase in maintenance fees this year uncapped sites and unregulated companies. Do not buy from this horrendous company.

Flying Fields - Southam (Taylor Wimpey). Exceeded Expectations

The team were extremely accommodating and communicated really well with us over the entire sales/purchasing process. They helped nudge solicitors and did everything the could to keep on top of communicating timescales and if any setbacks occurred these were given to us in a clear manner. Could not fault this part of the process at all - the team at Flying Fields were excellent.

Quality and Customer Service
Like almost any new build there were a few items to snag on the property which we purchased. The quality of the house in general was really good and we were really pleased with it. The aftercare team has been really good and if youre proactive with communicating then they will be more than happy to send out someone from their own team, or a trusted tradesperson to sort out the snags/issues. In some cases they have gone above and beyond our expectations and everyone we have encountered has been extremely helpful and pleasant.

Special thanks to the Sales team: Jonathon, Amy and Tracy.
All the site team and aftercare team were excellent, in particular, Tom and Ricky for helping us out with the snags and their lovely attitude and willingness to help.

Many Thanks,

From Tom and Steph (Plot 215)

I have lived in my ‘new build’ flat for just over 5 months… I reported a water leak almost 3 months ago and they STILL haven’t fixed it.

My skirting and walls are shot to bits! They did come out and cut holes in my ceiling to see whether the leak was coming from the floor above. Upon further inspection we agreed that the leak was coming from the mastic because it wasn’t tight enough therefore water was running through (another great job guys well done!)

They left my flat in a terrible state… the ceiling has an amateur plaster finish.

Kate Dampsterl - feel free to do your job and call me to book a time/date for one of your ‘experienced’ employees to fix my flat. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I do expect compensation. Actually, you can help pay for my fence because YOUR contractors have damaged my patio.

I suggest you call me by 10 am Wednesday 1st September. I will be posting this review followed by photos on Twitter

Excellent service

Really impressed with their service so far, Tricia always takes the time to ensure we have all the information we need & is really helpful when i have to ask the same question again!

You can ask as many (or repeating!) questions as you like Aileen!

Thank you for letting us know about your experience and well make sure Tricia gets to see your kind words.

From day one the process of buying a house has been so easy. The girls in the showroom are so helpful and nothing too much trouble. I have bought a few new builds over the years and this is by far the best. Alan the site manager and Paul have such attention to details and actually care, they have pride in the homes that they build and it shows. Nothing is too much trouble to change, snagging is done immediately, this site has a can do attitude and its all down to the people running it. It is a rare thing to come across this and therefore i have absolutely no worries about my new home now and for the future.

Thank you both for taking the time to share your Taylor Wimpey experience, which we are absolutely delighted with.

Well pass your kind feedback on to the local team right away.
